We are excited to announce this week’s update with some powerful new features.

1. Visualize Your Code

You can now visualize complex code interactions and workflows with ease. This feature breaks down intricate processes into clear visuals, making it simpler to follow the flow of your code. No need to sift through lengthy explanations—get instant clarity with visual insights that transform your understanding. For example, you can ask questions like “search and visualize the checkout process with a mermaid diagram” or “search and visualize how does my payment system interact with other services with a mermaid diagram”. These visuals provide immediate answers, helping you quickly understand how different parts of your system work together.

2. Contextual Analysis of Text Artifacts

One of Deductive's superpowers is its deep understanding of your entire investigation context. Deductive now leverages this context to provide rich analysis of directly uploaded artifacts, such as log files or dashboard screenshots. For example, if you upload a log and ask, Why is the placeOrder API showing high latencies? Deductive will deliver a precise explanation by extracting contextually relevant information from the log. This new feature helps you get to the heart of the issue faster, making complex investigations simpler and more actionable!

3. Summarizing a Chart

Finding anomalies in a crowded chart can be tough. With our new chart summarization, Deductive highlights the important bits — those time series that stand out — helping you quickly spot what’s wrong.

4. Full Screen Query Builders

We've made some solid improvements to the UI, giving query builders more screen space. This means you now have a better view when working with logs and metrics, making querying feel smoother and more efficient. It’s all about giving you the room you need to dig into the data without the clutter—so you can focus on what matters.

5. Clickhouse Log Connector

We’re excited to announce support for the ClickHouse Log Connector. ClickHouse is a super-fast columnar database built for real-time analytics, perfect for handling large datasets and complex queries. Now, you can query logs in clickhouse directly within Deductive using the /log query command, making log analysis faster and more streamlined.

6. Slack Integration

You can now interact with Deductive directly through Slack using our new app. Start a Deductive thread within Slack, and we will automatically capture the context of the conversation, making it easier to investigate and analyze issues seamlessly. If you're interested in trying it out, let us know in the #slack channel, and we'll get you set up.

Tip of the Week

Did you know that you can nudge Deductive to carefully look at specific code files to answer your question with /code to refer to a file in your GitHub source? Deductive will use this file to answer your question, along with other investigation context. You can add more than one files this way in your query.
